Step 4You cannot get a subjob, that looks like WHM/BLM or WAR/MNK, etc. until you are level 18 and you "fight the dragon". Which is a special mission that gives you your option to pick a subjob. Step 7Quests are small, mini-missions, that you can do in order to get fame, gil, and items. There are tons of quests all over Vana'diel.

Step 8After level 10 the best place to level up is in a party at Valkurm Dunes. At level 20 you then go to party at Qufim Island. After you reach level 30 you can discuss where to play Final Fantasy XI Online with your party.

Step 9Socialize. One of the best tips about playing Final Fantasy XI Online is to ask others questions, you will find many elders in the game are very friendly and helpful. Anyone you see with a globe looking sign by their name means they are willing to help. You should also join a linkshell so you have others to talk to.
